have. A selection of answers to common questions are posted below.
Blog: Why not post any questions you may have on our floor polishers blog?
By doing so you invite the blogging world to help with or discuss
your query.
Q: How do I prevent the
Floormaster 3 from sucking up the solution when
scrubbing with water and chemicals?
A: You must purchase a blanking plate if you are scrubbing with liquids
with the Floormaster 3. This stops the airflow and thus stops the
machine picking up the liquid which can damage the machine. All of the
other polishers on this website have no suction and can be
used to scrub with solutions
without any modification.
Q: What chemicals do I
use to clean my floor?
A: We can supply the chemicals you need, otherwise your local diy or
hardware store will be able to help you. You can scrub vinyl, stone,
terracotta, tiles and laminate with a hard floor neutral cleaner such
as Rawlins Maintainer. For wooden floors you can also use a high
solids, non slip polish such as Rawlins Ultra 25. Make sure you
neutralise the floor before adding the polish. Please note that modern
polymer polishes should not be applied over wax polishes, especially on
wooden floors, from which the wax is difficult to remove. If
you
would like
information on the chemicals we supply please contact us.
Q: I have marble floor
which looks dirty very quickly. What can I do to
remove the grime and produce a gloss finish?
A: You need to make sure your marble floor is sealed first. If it’s not
sealed then that will be your first job before you can start to clean
it using chemicals or liquids. If it has been polished then it is best
to strip the floor of the polish by using a high quality stripper
before you begin the cleaning process. Once the floor is sealed, you
can use a neutral floor cleaner such as Rawlins Maintainer which is
designed for marble floors. To give your floor a non slip gloss look
you then need to apply a high solids polish (such as Rawlins Ultra 25).
To clean and maintain the gloss look on your floor you need to use a
neutral maintainer chemical (such as Rawlins Maintainer). Do not use a
chemical that attempts to do this process in one, as the quality will
not be what you are looking for. Although you can do the above with a
mop and bucket, it is far more effective and efficient to clean your
marble floors using a rotary scrubbing machine.
Q: Where can I buy new
pads, cleaning chemicals and accessories from?
A: You can order accessories, including pads and bags, through this
website by visiting the 'PRODUCTS' page.
Q: What is the warranty
on the Floor Polisher products?
A: The Floormaster 2 and Floormaster 3 machines come with a full 3 year
domestic use warranty. All other products on the site come with a 1
year warranty.
All machines have a 14 day peace of mind guarantee.
